The study aimed to investigate the association between lunar phase and sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) in our epilepsy unit over an 8-year period. The analysis revealed a possible link between the two, which could have significant implications for the management and treatment of epilepsy. Further research is needed to confirm these findings and to understand the underlying mechanisms. The study highlights the importance of considering the lunar phase in the management of epilepsy, particularly in patients who are at high risk of SUDEP. The results of this study contribute to the growing body of evidence on the complex relationship between the lunar phase and SUDEP, and have important implications for the development of new treatments and management strategies for epilepsy.
