Attentional bias in substance-dependent individuals is the tendency to automatically direct the attention to substance-related cues in the environment. This phenomenon is known to be associated with various cognitive and behavioral deficits. Understanding the underlying mechanisms of attentional bias is crucial for the development of effective treatments for substance dependence. The present study aims to investigate the neural correlates of attentional bias in substance-dependent individuals and to explore the potential therapeutic implications of this knowledge.
