Genetic Variant Associated With Ischemic Stroke

Abstract

A novel association between a single nucleotide polymorphism on chromosome 7p21.1 and large-vessel ischemic stroke has been identified. This finding highlights the importance of genetic factors in the development of ischemic stroke. Further research is needed to fully understand the mechanisms underlying this association and to explore potential therapeutic targets.
