Diabetic kidney disease is a major cause of end-stage renal disease. Current therapeutic approaches based on renin-angiotensin system (RAS) blockade have failed to effectively manage the disease. Recent studies have shown that Horizon 2020 has made significant contributions to the understanding and management of diabetic kidney disease. The research activity aims to explore the potential of Horizon 2020 in improving the management of diabetic kidney disease.
