Abstract

Nicotine withdrawal is a multifaceted physiological and psychological process that can induce a spectrum of mood disturbances. Gaining a more nuanced understanding of how pure nicotine withdrawal influences inhibitory control is crucial for developing effective treatments for nicotine addiction. This study aims to investigate the effects of nicotine withdrawal on inhibitory control, exploring the underlying neural mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets. By elucidating the complex relationships between nicotine withdrawal and inhibitory control, this research seeks to contribute to the development of novel interventions for nicotine addiction.
