The distinctive effects of fuzzy dark matter are most visible at nonlinear galactic scales. We present the first simulations of mixed fuzzy and cold dark matter, obtained with an extended version of the original fuzzy dark matter simulation code. The simulations are designed to capture the complex interplay between fuzzy and cold dark matter, and to investigate the impact of fuzzy dark matter on the formation and evolution of galaxies. The results show that fuzzy dark matter can significantly affect the distribution of stars and gas within galaxies, leading to the formation of unique structures and morphologies. The simulations also reveal the importance of considering the interplay between fuzzy and cold dark matter in understanding the observed properties of galaxies.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
