Study of the interaction between genotype (G) and year (Y) provides good estimates of genotypes breeding values. In order to investigate the main effects of G, Y and G x Y interactions on yield and quality components, a field experiment was conducted in 2014. The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. The results showed that the interaction between G and Y had a significant effect on yield and quality components. The highest yield was obtained from the variety 'NS 1' in 2014, while the lowest yield was obtained from the variety 'NS 2' in 2013. The results also showed that the variety 'NS 1' had the highest protein content, while the variety 'NS 2' had the lowest protein content. The results of this study suggest that the interaction between G and Y is an important factor to consider in breeding programs for soybean.
