To investigate whether susceptibility or resistance to allergic rhinitis associated with HLA-DRB alleles.Using PCR-SSP (sequence-specific primer polymerase chain reaction), we tested the frequency distribution of HLA-DRB alleles in 41 patients with allergic rhinitis (AR) and 41 healthy controls from Beijing China. The frequence of HLA-DRB1 * 0301.2 and HLA-DRB4 * 0101 was lower in AR than in controls (2.44% vs 17.07%, P < 0.05; 29.27% vs 51.22%, P < 0.05).HLA-DRB1 * 0301.2 and HLA-DRB4 * 0101 alleles might confer protection against AR.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 3 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
