Abstract

This study aimed to propose a graphical data extraction method related to equine\'s heart rate measurements, obtained by the Polar Equine H7 frequencimeter usage. The graphical information has been generated by the KER ClockIT®Sport application. On the graphical data extraction software selection process, both functional and technical attributes have been considered, such as being a freeware application, its possible offline usage, an automatic feature for extraction and post data adjusts. The raw data extraction process was enabled through the use of WebPlotDigitizer® application. From the extracted raw data, the standart desviation and mean indicators were calculated using Excel®. Adicionally, the activities were classified in two diferente types: \"verified noise\" and \"not verified noise (noiseless) \", where the heart rate frequencies equal to zero has been verified during the equestrian activity realization and considered for classification aspects, being compared through the Pearson\'s correlation test, considering 95% significance. For the activities classified as \"noiseless\", the correlation verified value for the mean indicator was r = 0,999 and for the standart desviation indicator was r = 0,929, meanwhile the activities classified as \"noise verified\" demonstrated the same indicators as r = 0,479 and r = 0,941 respectivelly. It\'s possible to use WebPlotDigitizer® as a valid alternative for the determination of heart rate extracted data, also enabling the \"verified noise\" data to be eliminated through a more detailed data analysis.
