Abstract

The results of interaction lanthanides with bismuth in the Ni–Pr–Bi, Ni–Nd–Bi, Ni–Dy–Bi and Ni–Er–Bi systems are investigated. The melting points of most intermetallic compounds substantially exceed the potential operating temperature of heat-resistant nickel alloys. Therefore the intermetallic compounds should not degrade the properties of the alloy.
