Ādas un nagu sēnīšu infekcijas.

Abstract

Būtu vērtīgi vairāk informēt sabiedrību par sēnīšu infekcijām Skin and nail fungal infections are very common diseases, so the aim of this study is to find out the pathogenesis of fungal infection diseases, what are the treatment options in Latvia and how the patients themselves treated their disese – or go to the doctor in time, how they choose treatment. In order to achieve the aim of the work, the literature on infection agents, treatment options – medical devices, over-the-counter medicines and prescription medicines has been compiled. Patients who bought antifungal medicines at the pharmacy also completed an anonymus survey to find out what the public was aware of, howe they chose the treatment method, and why they dod not go to the doctor. The research concludes that a very wide range of literature is available on the pathogenesis of infections, pathogens, manifestations of diseases and methods of treatment. The questionnaires of the interviewed people show that a large part do not go to the doctor and the most common reason are lack of time and money problems. It would be wothwhile to inform the public more about fungal infections
