The facile synthesis of some new acid dyes (7a–h) were achieved by diazotization of building block 4-morpholino-6-aminoquinazoline (5) and coupling with a variety of naphthalene based coupling components like H-acid, J-acid, N-methyl-J-acid, N-phenyl-J-acid, Gamma acid, N-methyl gamma acid, Chicago acid and K-acid. The structures of newly synthesized acid dyes were confirmed by analytical and spectral data. The visible absorption spectra of synthesized dyes were found to be in the range of 465–525 nm. These dyes were applied on silk and wool type polyamide fibres which give yellow to purple hue. The position of color in CIELab coordinates i.e., computer color matching data (L*, a*, b*, H* and C*) was assessed.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
