A novel control scheme for the two-inductor, two-switch boost converter is proposed in this paper. The converter operates in the varied-frequency, critical conduction mode (VF-C-DCM) with this simple control scheme. The problem of the minimum load requirement existing in conventional two-inductance, two-switch boost converter with constant-frequency control is hence also resolved and ZVS of the two switches can be achieved naturally.
