Ponencia sobre la cuantificación de bacterias cultivables mediante el método de "Goteo por Sellado en Placa Masivo"

Abstract

Resumen La cuantificación de bacterias es crítica si se desean comprender los procesos microbiológicos de muestras ambientales, industriales o clínicas, ya que solo así se determinará si los microorganismos son suficientes para desarrollar una función benéfica o perjudicial. Existen varios métodos de conteo bacteriano con buenos límites de detección, sin embargo, son poco eficientes cuando se trata de procesar varias muestras; debido a la cantidad de material requerido para procesar cada muestra y al consumo de tiempo experimental. Por esta razón, en este estudio se muestra la evaluación del método de “Goteo por Sellado en Placa Masivo” (GSPM), que muestra un enorme potencial para facilitar la cuantificación. Esto se evidencia al hacer 3 experimentos que demuestran su versatilidad con las muestras, su rapidez, ahorro de recursos en cuanto a material, su reproducibilidad y cuantificación simultánea [1].
