Abstract

Abstract The enthalpies of formation, from the constituent oxides, of CoWO 4 and NiWO 4 have been determined by direct synthesis calorimetry at 1473±2 K . The following values of Δ H f ° at 298 K (kJ mol −1 ) are reported: CoWO 4 , −60.8±2.6; NiWO 4 , −47.3±2.7. The results are compared with the data available in the literature.
