Regulation of ribosomal RNA synthesis in T cells: requirement for GTP and Ebp1

Abstract

Key PointsMPA suppresses ribosomal RNA (rRNA) synthesis and cell proliferation in T cells through TIF-IA, a GTP binding protein. The combination of MPA and sotrastaurin potently suppresses T-cell proliferation and inhibits IL-2 secretion through TIF-IA and ErbB3-binding protein 1 (Ebp1).
