Abstract

1. Die amerikanische Schistosomose ist wegen ihrer geographischen Verbreitung und wegen der Varietat der klinischen Erscheinungsformen ein wichtiges Problem in der tropischen Pathologie. 2. Unter den zahlreichen klinischen Formen dieser Krankheit interessiert den Lungenarzt am meisten die Lokalisation in den Lungen, wegen der Beziehungen zur Lungentuberkulose. 3. Die Klinik, das Laboratorium und die Forschungen der pathologischen Anatomie erlauben die Individualisierung dieser Lungenform als feststehendes Krankheitsbild. 4. Die klinischen Formen dieser Lungenform sind die verschiedensten und sind leicht mit der Lungentuberkulose zu verwechseln. 5. Die klinische Diagnose dieser Form der Schistosomose kann nur durch Anwesenheit des Eies in dem Auswurf des Kranken gesichert werden. 6. In fraglichen Fallen, besonders wenn es sich um eine Lungentuberkulose handeln kann, ist es besser, zuerst eine hygienisch diatetische Behandlung und selbst die Kollapstherapie zu versuchen, als Tartarus emeticus anzuwenden. 7. In Fallen, in denen man die Sicherheit hat, das die Lungenerscheinungen von den SchistosomumMansoni herruhren, mus man die spezifische Behandlung mit Tartarus emeticus auf venosem Wege in hohen Dosen anwenden, wieHeraldo Maciel anrat.
