Cerambycinae (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) from the Brazilian state of Amazonas: new species and new geographical records

Abstract

Seven new species are described from Brazil (Amazonas): Coleoxestia chicoi sp. nov. (Cerambycini), included in two previous keys; Beraba boteroi sp. nov. (Eburiini), included in a previous key; Gnomidolon amazonicum sp. nov. (Hexoplonini), included in a previous key; Charisia takiyae sp. nov. (Rhinotragini); Ecliptoides manauara sp. nov. (Rhinotragini); Ischasia fasciata sp. nov. (Rhinotragini); and Tropidion papaveroi sp. nov. (Tropidini), included in a previous key. New country records and chromatic variations are reported for Pseudagaone cerdai (Tavakilian & Peñaherrera, 2007) and Ischasia feuilleti Peñaherrera-Leiva & Tavakilian, 2003. Additionally, two species are newly reported from Brazil: Ischasia ecclinusae Peñaherrera-Leiva & Tavakilian, 2004 and Sydax confragus Martins, 1971. A new Brazilian state record is reported for Cosmisoma batesi Zajciw, 1962.
