Abstract

Este trabalho foi realizado com o objetivo de avaliar em sete genotipos de soja, os tipos de resistencia a mosca-branca Bemisia tabaci Genn. biotipo B, bem como a correlacao entre a densidade dos tricomas presentes nos foliolos dos genotipos estudados e a preferencia de oviposicao da especie. Os ensaios foram conduzidos na area experimental e no Laboratorio de Resistencia de Plantas a Insetos do Departamento de Fitossanidade, da Faculdade de Ciencias Agrarias e Veterinarias - Campus de Jaboticabal - UNESP, Jaboticabal, SP, entre outubro de 2000 e janeiro de 2001. Dentre os genotipos testados, BR-82 12547 e PI 229358 apresentaram resistencia do tipo naopreferencia para oviposicao a mosca branca; a oviposicao foi correlacionada positivamente com a densidade total de tricomas. Assim, PI 227687, com a maior quantidade de tricomas, foi o genotipo mais ovipositado, enquanto que BR-82 12547 e PI 229358, com as menores quantidades de tricomas, foram os menos ovipositados. O ensaio de antibiose foi realizado utilizando-se cinco genotipos: BR-82 12547, IAC 100, IAC 78-2318, PI 229358 e PI 227687, selecionados do ensaio de nao-preferencia para oviposicao. IAC 100 destacou-se por afetar negativamente B. tabaci biotipo B, prolongando o periodo ninfal (12,8 dias) e reduzindo a emergencia de adultos (80,0%).
