Abstract

L'auteur étudie, au Tchad, le pouvoir anthelminthique du N-(2'-chloro-4'nitrophenyl)-5 chlorosalicylamide chez le mouton. Si le médicament à l'état de poudre permet à 75 mg/kg de détruire les Moniezia de l'intestin grêle, par contre, dès que Stilesia globipunctata est présent, il faut administrer des doses allant jusqu'à 150 mg/kg. En outre, le Yomesan est actif sur les formes immatures de certains Paramphistomes, à condition qu'elles aient moins de 5 semaines et qu'elles ne soient pas encore implantées dans le rumen. Le gain de poids réel est d'environ 6,20 p. 100 en un mois. Malheureusement, le coût du traitement, dans certains pays peu développés où sévit la stilésiose intestinale ovine, est trop élevé, compte tenu de la faible valeur marchande du troupeau et du prix du médicament
