We are a global arthropod collection with collections from North America, South America, Australia, Asia, and Africa. However, most of our arthropod specimens come from the southwestern United States. We have dry, frozen, and fluid preserved collections. Our collection started in 1989 and first formally classified with current taxonomic classifications, and databased in 2005 later joining and forming the Symbiota Collections of Arthropods Network with the other partners. Since then our rate of collection has gone up dramatically. Our collection contains all arthropod taxa including insects, arachnids, myriapods, and crustaceans.
