Abstract

AbstractFür kubisches Europiumdifluorid wurde ein Homogenitätsbereich von EuF2,01±0,02 bis EuF2,19±0,02 und eine lineare Änderung der Gitterkonstanten von 5,842–5,818 Å ermittelt. Es wurde gefunden, daß festes EuF2,01±0,02 aus Graphittiegeln bei Drucken <10−5 Torr kongruent verdampft und bei 1676 ± 5°K schmilzt. Die Messung von Sättigungsdampfdrucken nach der Knudsen‐Effusionsmethode ergab unter Annahme einer Verdampfung zu monomeren Molekeln für den Temperaturbereich von 1412–1612°K die Dampfdruckgleichung log Patm = −;(2,036 ± 0,020) · 1/T · 104 + (8,591 ± 0,132). Eine thermodynamische Interpretation der Dampfdruckdaten nach der „Second Law”︁ ‐ und „Third Law”︁ ‐Methode führte unter Verwendung von zum Teil geschätzten Daten fü die Molekülparameter von EuF2(g) und die spezifische Wärme von EuF2(s) zu folgenden auf 298,15 °K extrapolierten Verdampfungsdaten: equation image Für die Bildungswärme von EuF2(s) wurde ein Wert von abgeleitet.
