Currently, social scientists use different and sometimes proprietary software that processes metadata in several ways to analyze their data. Different data formats of statistical software packages that are only partially compatible are a barrier to replication studies. Our project aims to address this problem by introducing a metadata-enriched open data format. The presentation illustrates the project goal and gives an overview of the milestones.
