
In der Systemtheorie werden die Eigenschaften idealisierter LTI-Systeme mit dem Ziel betrachtet, die Vielfalt der Eigenschaften realer Systeme besser uberschauen zu konnen. Kupfmuller, der diese Methode in die Nachrichtentechnik eingefuhrt hat, schreibt hierzu „es werden willkurlich bestimmte Wechselstromeigenschaften der Ubertragungssysteme angenommen; es wird dann gefragt, wie sich ein so gekennzeichnetes System bei der Ubertragung von Nachrichten verhalt“ (Kupfmuller, 1949).1
