A second specimen and the first known male of Vampyressa (Metavampyressa) brocki from Guyana, South America, is compared with the female holotype with respect to measurements and other anatomical details. The configurations of the palatal ridges of V. brocki and Vampyressa (Vampyriscus) bidens are illustrated for the first time. The systematic relations of the two species and their affinities with Mesophylla macconnelli are discussed.
