Palinotaxonomia de seis variedades de Passiflora edulis (Passifloreaceae)

Abstract

<p>A família Passifloreaceae está amplamente distribuída no Brasil e grande diversidade polínica que podem ser usadas como caracteres taxonômicos. Com isso o presente trabalho tem como objetivo caracterizar morfologicamente os grãos de pólen de seis variedades de <em>Passiflora edulis</em>. Os grãos de pólen utilizados nas preparações das lâminas histológicas foi retirado de seis variedades de <em>P. edulis</em> presentes na área experimental da Universidade do Estado de Mato Grosso (UNEMAT). O experimento foi conduzido em blocos inteiramente casualizados, sendo cinco amostras e com cinco repetições por variedade. Os grãos de pólen foram classificados com muito grandes (100-200 µm). Todas as variedades foram classificadas como esféricas, com exceção da BRS rubi que foi classificada como prolato-esferoidal. Foi possível verificar a existência de dois grupos quando as médias do diâmetro polar e equatorial foram analisadas. Estes dados indicam que estas medidas podem ser usadas para diferenciar dois grupos de variedades de <em>P. edulis</em>.</p>
