Abstract

¿Cómo entender los significados de las prácticas sexuales maricas en Lima, Perú entre la década de los cincuenta y los setenta, desde una perspectiva interseccional? Esta tesis busca articular una primera narrativa histórica de las experiencias de los maricones en Lima entre las décadas de 1950 y 1970. Partiendo de seis entrevistas orales, ocho novelas, dos canciones, un corto, un blog y diez ediciones de una guía de viaje, que contribuyen a debates sobre las tensiones entre la identidad y los comportamientos sexuales, la intersección de raza y clase en procesos identitarios, y el espacio urbano. Las existencias maricas entre los cincuenta y los setenta pueden ser entendidas como comportamientos de inversión de género que planteaban a los maricones como las parejas femeninas y complementarias de «hombres» o «machos». Cualquier hombre podía participar en relaciones homosexuales, desde casi cualquier lugar, pero el significado que le atribuían (o no) a estos comportamientos dependía de su identidad de raza, clase y género. Quienes se comportaban femeninamente podían adquirir una identidad de maricones, mientras que sus parejas masculinas podían permanecer como «hombres».
