Abstract Five species of black fungus gnats of the genus Corynoptera Winnertz, 1867, C. perpusilla Winnertz, 1867, C. praeparvula Mohrig & Krivosheina, 1983, C. subparvula Tuomikoski, 1960, C. concinna (Winnertz, 1867), and C. hypopygialis (Lengersdorf, 1926) are recorded from Ukraine for the first time. Also C. concinna is firstly recorded from Hungary. Distributions of these species are summarized and diagnoses of the species are provided.
