Abstract

Trichophyton yaoundei is a geographically restricted dermatophyte indigenous to Africa. Infections elsewhere are rarely seen. A case of T. yaoundei infection in an Indian Siddi boy is reported. Siddis are believed to be descendants of African immigrants.
