Who CAREs, really? Vom schwierigen Umgang mit digitalisierten Kulturg��tern aus kolonialen Kontexten

Abstract

Sp��testens seit dem "Rapport sur la restitution du patrimoine culturel africain. Vers une nouvelle ��thique relationnelle" von Sarr und Savoy (2018) ist die Diskussion ��ber den Umgang europ��ischer Ged��chtnisinstitutionen mit ihren Sammlungen aus kolonialen Kontexten neu entbrannt. Welche Bedeutung hat in diesem Zusammenhang die Digitalisierung von Objekten des kulturellen Erbes? Das Poster veranschaulicht diese Frage am Beispiel der "Ethnografica"-Sammlung im Nachlass von Karl Schmidt-Rottluff aus dem Bestand des Br��cke-Museums Berlin. Diese Sammlung wird im Rahmen eines Digitalisierungs-Projekts durch das Forschungs- und Kompetenzzentrum Digitalisierung Berlin (digiS) begleitet. Um verschiedene Perspektiven auf digitale Objekte gleichberechtigt sichtbar zu machen und dabei die CARE-Regeln nicht zu missachten, untersucht digiS verschiedene technologische Ebenen. Ein Beitrag zur 8. Tagung des Verbands "Digital Humanities im deutschsprachigen Raum" - DHd 2022 Kulturen des digitalen Ged��chtnisses.
