The research scutters light upon the uncommon, the old, and the unfamiliar interpretation of the Holy Quran related by Ibn Qutayba on behalf of Al-Farra. Ibn Qutayba points out the positions of those unusual interpretations, describes and discusses them. The research falls into two sections: the first one introduces Al-Farra and Ibn Qutayba and their books to the reader's Ibn Qutayba, in the second section tackles the problems of the unusual linguistic situations that stated by Al-Farra and dominated Ibn Qutayba‘s book called:" The Odd and Unfamiliar in the Holy Quran ".
