V CONGRESO INTERNACIONAL VIRTUAL DE EDUCACIÓN

Abstract

The V International Virtual Congress on Education (V CIVE) was a high-impact event for the Latin American educational community, designed to explore and debate contemporary challenges in the field of education. Under the theme “New political and social challenges for educational communities in the Americas and the Caribbean”, it was organized around seven thematic axes that reflect the concerns and aspirations of education: artificial intelligence and digital humanities facing new educational challenges, inclusive and socioemotional education, teacher training and interdisciplinarity, coexistence and school management, education for peace in Latin America, education in the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and, finally, education and research in rural contexts. Each of these axes allowed experts and academics to share experiences and proposals to build a transformative and equitable education. The V CIVE not only highlighted the need to adapt to technological advances and social change, but also emphasized the commitment to human and sustainable development, especially in rural and marginalized regions. This Congress was consolidated as a platform for exchange and collaboration for those seeking to innovate and strengthen educational practices in Latin America.
