Datenkompressionsmethoden für Telematikanwendungen bei mobilen Maschinen

Abstract

Mobilen Maschinen werden zunehmend in Telematiksysteme eingebunden. Dadurch wird der drahtlose Informationsaustausch von und zur Maschine ermöglicht und es ergeben sich zahlreiche neue Möglichkeiten z. B. zur Prozessüberwachung oder zur automatisierten Dokumentation. Da für die drahtlose Kommunikation der Maschine über die Mobilfunknetze, insbesondere in ländlichen Gebieten, oft nur begrenzte Bandbreiten zur Datenübertragung zur Verfügung stehen, wurden am ILF für diesen Anwendungsfall verschiedene Datenkompressionsverfahren entwickelt und erprobt. Damit können die Daten auf der Maschine, vor der Kommunikation, maßgeblich komprimiert werden, ohne dass wesentliche Teile der ursprünglichen Information verloren gehen.
