Abstract

La Laguna Madre de Tamaulipas es considerada como un área marina prioritaria para la conservación. En esta propuesta, se planea realizar un total de 12 visitas al área de estudio, siendo el principal objetivo el dar a conocer la diversidad de la avifauna de esta zona. La importancia de la Laguna Madre radica principalmente en que es un centro de reproducción e hibernación de aves acuáticas y semiacuáticas; además alberga comunidades vegetales asociadas a ella (como los pastos marinos y el manglar), los cuales son hábitats propicios para la reproducción y alimentación de muchas especies de vertebrados.Reino: 1 Filo: 1 Clase: 1 Orden: 20 Familia: 52 Género: 149 Especie: 227
