The Murray?Darling Basin Authority works with Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia to monitor fish populations in 23 valleys in the Murray?Darling Basin on an annual basis. A standardised sampling protocol and randomised site selection is used to monitor species richness, size and condition of fish to report against high-level targets in the Murray?Darling Basin Plan. This dataset extends the fish component of the Sustainable Rivers Audit dataset (2004?2013).
