Evaluación de los ecosistemas coralinos mesofóticos (ECM) en cayo Bolívar empleando tecnologías ROV, Caribe colombiano

Abstract

Entre el 21 y 26 de septiembre de 2022 se realizaron 13 inmersiones entre 70 y 150 m de profundidad utilizando tecnologías ROV, realizando la exploración del sustrato y las especies bentónicas y sésiles que lo habitan. Las inmersiones se realizaron utilizando la metodología desarrollada por Sepia Rov S.A.S. para explorar en profundidades mayores de 30 m; utilizando además los sistemas de navegación de la embarcación acompañante Hei Matau para agilizar el trabajo en campo. Dos de las inmersiones fueron utilizadas para realizar censos de peces debido a que fue imposible llegar al sustrato o la obtención de datos de calidad respecto al sustrato.
