Abstract

Il 9 novembre 2022, alle 06:07 UTC, si è verificato un terremoto di ML 5.7 (Mw 5.5) al largo della costa settentrionale delle Marche, Italia (http://terremoti.ingv.it/it/event/33301831). Il terremoto non ha provocato vittime, ma tanta paura tra la popolazione: scuole chiuse e numerosi controlli nelle strutture strategiche della Regione. A pochi minuti dal terremoto è stato attivato il gruppo operativo SISMIKO, il coordinamento delle reti sismiche di emergenza dell'INGV. SISMIKO ha predisposto ed implementato nelle successive 24 ore, l'installazione di 8 stazioni mobili sismiche, dotate di velocimetri a corto periodo e accelerometri. Tutte le stazioni, i cui dati sono stati trasmessi in tempo reale, erano state integrate nel sistema di monitoraggio e sorveglianza sismica dell'INGV e messe a disposizione della comunità scientifica, senza alcun vincolo.

On November 9, 2022, at 06:07 UTC, an earthquake of ML 5.7 (Mw 5.5) occurred off the northern Marche coast, Italy (http://terremoti.ingv.it/en/event/33301831). The earthquake caused no victims, but a lot of fear among the population: schools closed and numerous checks in strategic structures of the Region. A few minutes after the earthquake occurred, the SISMIKO operational group, the coordination of the INGV emergency seismic networks, was activated. SISMIKO has prepared and carried out in the following 24 hours, the installation of 8 seismic mobile stations, equipped with short-period velocimeters and accelerometers, whose data was transmitted in real time. All stations had been integrated into the INGV seismic monitoring and surveillance system and available to the scientific community, without any restrictions.
