Abstract

Orinoquia Biodiversa (FOB) en convenio de cooperación con la ONG Naturaleza y Cultura Internacional (NCI) llevó a cabo el proceso de registro Reservas Naturales de la Sociedad Civil en el departamento de Arauca y la formulación de los planes de Manejo Ambiental (PMA. El interés por la conservación de la biodiversidad de Arauca facilita el proponer estrategias que favorezcan la sustentabilidad del componente biótico (micro fauna, fauna y flora) y el componente abiótico (suelos) al lograr un equilibrio con las actividades antrópicas desarrolladas al interior de los predios. Esta interacción positiva entre las actividades humanas y la diversidad, hacen que estas zonas cobren un valor adicional al servir como áreas amortiguadoras dentro del territorio al que pertenecen al mitigar el impacto de las actividades antrópicas en predios cercanos y servir de refugios o corredores para la fauna local asegurando no solo su sobrevivencia sino estabilidad en el tiempo.
