[For the English abstract and full text of the article please see the attached PDF-File (English version follows Russian version)].ABSTRACT Analysis of the street-road network in the city of Volzhsky, a tense security situation with embarkation and disembarkation of public transport passengers is provided. The discrepancy between the lengths of stopping points and the incoming traffic of buses is determined. Proposals are made to improve the quality of passenger transportation, taking into account safety intervals at bus stops and optimizing the routes of urban public transport, private buses and fixed-route taxis.
