IPBES TCA Chapter 1. Creation of a case studies database / IPBES transformative change assessment

Abstract

One of the guiding principles of the transformative change assessment's scoping report is to analyse "historical examples and case studies of transformative change that emphasize both the possibilities and challenges for realizing a sustainable world". The case studies database was developed with the overarching goal to develop a database of studies/projects/ventures/initiatives/practices/technologies (collectively referred to as 'examples') that provides evidence on how transformative change occurs or can potentially happen and how existing challenges in this regard can be overcome, while providing relevant information for policymakers and all other stakeholders.
