The database contains records of fossil specimens in the palaeontological collections of the Natural History Museum, University of Oslo. Basically, they originate from anywhere in the world, but the majority of objects comes Norway, including Svalbard. The collection comprises both unpublished and published material, including a considerable number of type specimens. The collection is continuously augmented in connection with ongoing research projects.
