Abstract

Mediante inventarios florísticos detallados, se determinará la estructura poblacional de tres especies de Gimnospermas del dosel (Pinus chiapensis, Pinus oocarpa var. ochoterenai y Podocarpus matudai) y de seis especies de Angiospermas del sotobosque (Magnolia sharpii, Nyssa sylvatica, Olmediella betschleriana, Persea americana, Persea schiedeana y Prunus rhamnoides), distribuidas en las montañas del Norte de Chiapas. La distribución y abundancia de las especies se relacionará con algunas variables ambientales (exposición, pendiente, altitud, luz, temperatura, humedad relativa, etc.) para reconocer los requerimientos de hábitat e identificar condiciones para la regeneración natural. Partimos de un conocimiento florístico considerable a nivel regional, pero carecemos de información detallada del estado de las poblaciones de numerosas especies arboreas. Este estudio intentará mediante un enfoque ecológico cuantitativo, establecer los antecedentes para un plan de recuperación de las poblaciones en sus hábitats naturales mediante prácticas de restauración. Se iniciará con la colecta masiva de semillas de estas epecies con el objetivo de establecer un banco de semillas para la obtención de sus plántulas que puedan usarse en experimentos de reintroducción en sitios aledaños a su área de distribución natural.Reino: 1 Filo: 1 Clase: 3 Orden: 34 Familia: 57 Género: 89 Subgénero: 5 Especie: 111
