The WET Labs ECO Triplet BBFL2 786 was deployed on 2022-06-23 on Horseshoe Bay - Departure Bay Ferry Route. This ferry route goes between Horseshoe Bay terminal in West Vancouver, BC and the Departure Bay terminal, Nanaimo BC. This device is a Turbidity, Chlorophyll and Fluorescence. Turbidity, chlorophyll and fluorescence instruments detect light scattered by particles suspended in water, generating an output voltage proportional to turbidity or suspended solids. Scaling factors are used to convert the voltage readings to values representing chlorophyll concentration and turbidity. It was deployed on a mobile platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
