Abstract

Contiene 3446 registros que corresponden a los datos de colecta de los individuos que hacen parte de la Colección Ornitológica realizada por los Hermanos de La Salle en el período 1910-2001. De éstos la mayor representatividad es avifauna local del departamento de Antioquia con un 67.4%, seguido por el Norte de Colombia (14.6%), Centro (5.0%), Occidente (3.5%), Sur (3.5%), Oriente (1.6%) y el Altiplano Cundiboyacense (1.5%) y el 0.7% procede por canje y donaciones de otros países como Bélgica, EE.UU, Italia, Cánada, España, Ecuador y Costa Rica. El 100% de los ejemplares está identificado hasta especie y de éstos el 79.1% hasta subespecie. La curaduría taxonómica de los ejemplares ha sido revisada por reconocidos taxónomos nacionales e internacionales.
