Abstract

Se propone la construcción de una base de datos (en el Sistema de Información Biotica y de acuerdo al Anexo I de la Convocatoria GEFAgrobiodiversidad Mexicana 01), que incluya un mínimo de 800 registros y aproximadamente 150 especies de plantas cultivadas, fomentadas y/o toleradas presentes en los sistemas agrícolas tradicionales de los Tepehuanes del Sur, así como de sus parientes silvestres y otras plantas silvestres comestibles aprovechadas por esta etnia. El área de estudio, en la Sierra Madre Occidental, extremo sur del estado de Durango, se ha reconocido como un centro de endemismo y de diversidad vegetal alta e incluye parte de las RTP 57 y 59 (Guacamayita y Cueca del Río Jesús María). Este trabajo constituirá la primera documentación etnobotánica de la agricultura tradicional tepehuana y contribuirá a la sistematización de la información sobre poco más de 100 especies silvestres útiles (comestibles), resultado de trabajo de campo etnobotánico en el pasado y que se encuentra disponible en documentos inéditos y etiquetas de especímenes del Herbario CIIDIRReino: 1 Filo: 1 Clase: 1 Orden: 22 Familia: 37 Género: 56 Subgénero: 4 Especie: 142 Epitetoinfraespecifico: 21
