Abstract

En 2009 se desarrolló el censo del Zarapito Trinador (Numenius phaeopus) en el Parque Nacional Natural Sanquianga con el fin de estimar el número de individuos que visitan esta área protegida. Para ello se llevaron a cabo conteos en los dormideros, los cuales son sitios donde estas aves descansan en la noche, y en sitios de alimentación los cuales son planos lodosos y arenosos. Aunque el trabajo estuvo enfocado en el Zarapito Trinador, se obtuvieron datos de todas otras aves presentes en los sitios de muestreo. El conjunto de datos contiene información de 32 especies de aves pertenecientes a 12 familias registradas.
