Persepsi Etik Pasangan Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI) dalam Penggunaan Alat Kontrasepsi

Abstract

Problem negara berkembang diantaranya adalah tingkat kepadatan penduduk dan pengangguran yang tinggi. Akibatnya, tingkat kemiskinan dan ketergantungan masyarakat menjadi tinggi. Solusi keluar dari kemiskinan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Indonesia pada umumnya, sebagai salah satu upaya adalah dengan menjadi Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI) ke luar negeri. Kajian ini ingin melihat beberapa hal penting terkait dengan TKI hubungannya dengan program KB antara lain: Persepsi TKI dalam Program KB, Penggunaan alatkontrasepsi di kalangan pasangan TKI, pandangan etis masyarakat terhadap kesertaan KB pasangan TKI dan daya dukung pasangan terhadap partisipasi istri dalam program KB. Melalui metode penelitian Studi Kepustakaan, kajian menunjukkan bahwa kesepakatan tidak tertulis sudah menjadi etika sosial yang berkembang dalam masyarakat jika pasangan menjadi TKI maka istri tidak perlu ber-KB. Hal tersebut berhubungan dengan komitmen dan tanggungjawab pasangan dalam menjaga marwah pernikahannya ketika jarak fisik memisahkan. Pemerintah melalui BKKBN perlu memberikan edukasi dan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat dalam hal ini khususnya kepada pasangan TKI agar memiliki persepsi etik yang rasional terhadap program KB dan penggunaan alat kontrasepsi.
