Abstract

Plantas, hongos y líquenes depositadas en la colección del Herbario Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Las colecciones provienen principalmente de la región altoandina de la Cordillera Oriental, cubre 33 departamentos del territorio nacional colombiano e incluye algunos ejemplares de Estados Unidos, Bolivia, Brasil, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, España, Francia, Guayana Francesa, Guayana Británica, Italia, México, Panamá, Perú, Puerto Rico, República Dominicana, Surinam y Venezuela. Ejemplares representados en 7 filos distribuidos en 24 clases, 132 órdenes y 438 familias. Actualmente cuenta con 13.131 registros identificados hasta especie. La colección de orquídeas se considera como la más representativa e incluye más de 3.912 especímenes, incluyendo colecciones Tipo La colecta de ejemplares proviene de diferentes actividades como proyectos de investigación y salidas de campo programadas en las cátedras de la universidad. La publicación de los datos se enmarca bajo un convenio de cooperación acordado entre el Instituto de Investigación de Recursos Biológicos Alexander von Humboldt y la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
