Abstract

Institut des Sciences Agronomiques du Burundi (ISABU) 30 years of agronomical research. Making acquaintance with ISABU and its Ateliers. Created in 1962 from the earlier INEAC, ISABU has just corne to celebrate its 30th anniversary. At this occasion, it is appropriate to look back briefly on its history and to present its research objectives and methodology as well as its actual organization and functioning. It is also a good opportunity to highlight some of the important results and a number of promising evolutions which have been taking place at ISABU over the last years in order to increase its performance. In the same context, it is necessary as well to make acquaintance with the Regional Research Ateliers.
