Experiencialidade e complexidade

Abstract

Neste artigo apresenta-se uma reflexão de natureza teórica e epistemológica, tendo como finalidade a análise do conceito de experiencialidade. Pensamos que não é possível compreender a complexidade dos processos de formação de adultos sem ter em consideração a dimensão central assumida pela experiencialidade, pelo que nos propomos contribuir para a discussão deste conceito, procurando situá-lo tanto do ponto de vista teórico como epistemológico. Os contributos da abordagem da complexidade e do pensamento complexo (Morin, 1977, 1980, 1985, 1991, 1999; Nicolescu, 2003), constituem, do ponto de vista epistemológico, as bases e os pressupostos para esta proposta. Por considerar que o conceito de experiencialidade se encontra articulado com os conceitos-chave de experiência (Honoré, 1992; Larossa, 2002, 2011) e de saberes da experiência (Larrosa, 2002, 2011; Freire, 1992, 2007; Sá-Chaves, 2004) — trabalhados no âmbito dos quadros teóricos da educação e da formação de adultos —, procuramos evidenciar neste artigo as relações e afiliações teóricas subjacentes. Ao reconhecer a centralidade da experiência e dos saberes produzidos pela experiência na vida dos adultos procuramos evidenciar a necessidade de pensar as práticas formativas através da lente da experiencialidade, contribuindo para reforçar a dimensão transformadora e emancipadora da educação e da formação de adultos (Freire, Mezirow, 1990, 2001).
